A few years ago, I had a leadership job that looked impressive from the outside. I also had the anxiety that came free with it. So I made a decision that most people in my life didn’t fully understand: I traded the title, the salary, and the matching stress for a backpack and a one-way ticket.
I started in Italy and spent most of 2024 traveling through Europe and Türkyie. In the beginning of 2025 I bought a new one-way ticket to Thailand, and spent 8 months traveling through Asia.
I won’t pretend it all went smoothly. I’ve felt overwhelmed and scared. I’ve made almost every mistake a first-time solo traveler can make. And while I love to explore any place, I’m drawn to the places that feel a little raw, a little underestimated, and a little hard to explain to people who haven’t been. With all the challenges that comes with venturing outside the tourist path.
This blog exists because I couldn’t find the honest version of the guides I needed.
Currently this blog is focused on Europe — mostly the parts that don’t make it onto the usual tourist maps. I’ve hiked through Albania, wandered the medieval streets of Český Krumlov, and stood on the edge of the Tara Canyon in Bosnia.
This blog is for fellow first-borns, over-planners, and anyone looking for gems in an oversaturated world. You don’t need a huge budget. You don’t need a travel partner. You need honest information and the courage to go.
So welcome to my world. I’m glad you’re here.
